We are proud to present to you this most-excellent out-turn from Oscar Garcia! His Gesha resonates strongly with the tropical aspects of this landrace variety. His coffee exhudes florals intermingling seemlessy with lively amazonian fruits. Some notes include, but not limited to: mangosteen, lychee, strawberry, pink lady apples, kumquat and a sweet floral aroma akin to Angel's Trumpet.
Oscar is a young farmer out of San Agustín, Huila. A most enchanted area in the Andes with a booming culture of Speicalty Coffee producers. Some of my favorite coffees year-round come out of this region. Oscar's coffee reiterates this with an absolute winner of a Gesha this year! He is currently producing Caturra, Gesha and Pink Bourbon.
He harvests only the ripest cherries at each pass. He ferments twice; once in-cherry for 24-48hr.s and then (dry) in parchment for about 48-72hr.s. His drying times are dependent on the weather, anywhere from 20-22 days until the moisture content reaches near 10%. This cup is an absolute treasure and it is especially encouraging to support the booming work of producers like Oscar. ¡Saludos!
