About Roberto:

Roberto Figueroa is young producer near the town of Peña Blanca, Santa Barbara. His brothers came to the United States to work and helped him buy his farm with the money they earned here. Roberto has come a long way through many a hardship to produce some of the most expressive single-lot varietals we've seen from Honduras. Harvest this year was a low yielding one, albeit still delivering clarity of representation in his separations. This Pacas is exemplary of what is so distinct of the region and variety itself. Pacas can pack a punch with an array of red berry character. This Bourbon mutation also exudes plumb and sweet basil acidity tapering the profile. Roberto's care to wash the coffee five times and closely monitor the drying process does this well maturated cherry due-diligence. This is a great offering for discovery of the Pacas variety.
